Run. Don’t Walk: Watch This Movie Now.

I was already a MASSIVE Dan Levy fan, but Good Grief is probably one of the best movies I have seen in a while. I loved everything about it.

The story captures the heaviness of grief, yet layers it on the complexity of friendship. As Levy’s character navigates life after the death of his partner, he test the bonds with his friends. The people that offered unwavering support in his time of need.

It reminded me of the importance of your (chosen) family. For me, they were the people who stepped in for me when you feel like you have lost it all.

The movie was also a reminder that we are all grieving something. For too long grievers have suffered in silence. Movies like this are helping to change the discourse on grief. To bring it out of the shadows.

This movie is beautiful.

I’ve Been Lying A Long Time To A Lot Of People And It Feels Really Heavy. Like I’m Swimming With My Clothes On, And I Can’t Take Them Off.
